The BR Classic Girth Extender is a leather piece that sits between the girth straps of your saddle and your girth. You use it when your girth is just too short, for example because your horse has changed in condition or size, or because you are borrowing another horse's girth for a while. It is made from 100% leather with nickel-plated roller buckles and comes in Black and Brown.
About this girth extender
A girth extender is a short leather piece with buckles at one end and straps at the other. You buckle it to the girth straps of the saddle, then fasten the girth to the extender. That way you gain length without having to buy a new girth straight away.
BR makes the Classic from 100% leather with nickel-plated roller buckles. Roller buckles let the leather run through more smoothly, which makes girthing up easier. BR does not state how much length the extender adds, nor how wide it is. It comes in one size.
An extender is a practical stopgap. If your girth is too short for good, a longer girth is usually the simpler choice: you then have no extra buckles and leather between saddle and girth. Choose the colour to match your girth and saddle: Black or Brown.
