The Dy'on Anatomic Flash Noseband from the Hunter Collection is a bridle with a 3-strap headpiece and a combined noseband. Soft English leather, vegetable-tanned, with cream decorative stitching and stainless steel buckles. For riders who want the classic hunter look with a headpiece that leaves room behind the ears. Reins are not included.
About this bridle
Dy'on is known for anatomical bridles, and the Hunter Collection is the classic branch of that range: no sparkle, but clean lines and the typical hunter signatures.
The most defining feature sits at the top. The 3-strap headpiece splits the headpiece into three parts instead of laying one wide strap across the poll. The straps run alongside the ears and therefore leave more room free behind the base of the ear. In horses that react to an ordinary headpiece, that is noticeable: they keep the head quieter and resist less while being bridled.
The combined noseband, referred to in the model name as Flash Noseband, is a noseband with a flash strap. The noseband itself is square-raised and slightly widened, and its shape is softly rounded. The flash strap is the lower strap that fastens under the bit and keeps the bit steadier in the mouth. The raised and widened cut is also what gives the classic hunter look.
The browband is finished in the same style: raised and slightly widened, so that noseband and browband follow the same line. That makes the whole picture visually calm and symmetrical.
The leather is soft English leather, vegetable-tanned. Vegetable tanning uses tannins from plant sources instead of chrome salts. Leather like this feels firmer when new and needs a little more time to break in, but it then breaks in more beautifully, deepens in colour over the years and lasts a long time. So expect a short breaking-in period during which you condition it slightly more often.
The finish is typically hunter: cream decorative stitching against the leather and stainless steel buckles that are not affected by sweat and rain.
Reins are not supplied. For a coherent hunter picture, combine it with leather reins in the same shade from our range.
