The Dy'on Plaited Flash Noseband bridle with Pull back is a snaffle bridle from the New English Collection, with a 30 mm plaited combined noseband, a removable flash strap and a crank noseband. About this bridle
Dy'on's New English Collection stands for bridles with traditional saddlery work and a modern, anatomical line. This model brings the two together: the plaiting on the noseband and browband gives it its classic character, while the S-shaped cut of the headpiece and the V-shaped browband do the work on fit.
The headpiece is cut in an S shape. That wave-like line leaves room around the ears and keeps the leather behind the ears from lying in a straight, narrow band. The V-shaped browband runs downwards in the middle and so leaves more of the forehead free than a straight browband.
The noseband is 30 mm wide and made in plaited leather. It comes with a removable half-inch flash strap, which makes the whole a combined noseband. The flash strap can be taken off, so you can also ride with a single noseband. At the back there is a crank noseband, in English the pull back closure: the strap runs back through two loops there, so the tension is spread more evenly across the closure instead of pulling on one point.
The leather is European cowhide, vegetable-tanned. That is a slower, classic tanning method without chrome salts. Vegetable-tanned leather feels somewhat firmer at first and breaks in gradually: it shapes itself to use and takes on a deeper colour over the years. Feed it with paraffin oil from the start and clean it with glycerine soap, and it will last a long time. The stitching is done tone-on-tone, in the New English style, and the buckles are stainless steel.
Reins are not included. You choose those separately.
