The Equestro Zenda is a pair of women's summer breeches with a silicone Knee Grip. Equestro calls the model Zenda Light: a slim fit in a light, breathable two-way stretch fabric, designed for warm days. Maddelin stocks the Zenda in five colours and in sizes XXS to XXL, including white.
About these breeches
The Zenda is a pair of summer breeches. Equestro sells it as the Zenda Light (item ET06730), in a technical fabric the brand describes as light, breathable and two-way stretch: the fabric stretches in two directions. Equestro states that this light, breathable fabric makes the garment suitable for summer use. The composition is 76% polyamide and 24% elastane.
Knee Grip
The silicone grip sits on the inside of the knee. According to Equestro, it gives stability in the saddle. On this Knee Grip version there is no grip on the seat. There is also a silicone band on the inside of the waistband. Knee Grip tells you about the grip type, not about who wears the breeches.
Fit and details
The Zenda is a slim fit. It has practical front pockets. The Equestro logo or lettering appears on the back belt loop and the right thigh. At the bottom of the leg, at ankle height, there is an elastane insert so the breeches slip easily into your riding boot. In Equestro's photos, the model is 169 cm tall and wears size 38.
Colours and competition
Maddelin stocks the Zenda in white, black, navy, Oxford Tan and Frost Grey. Equestro does not list Frost Grey for the Zenda Light; for that colour, the composition and grip are on the care label. White is allowed in all disciplines. FEI dressage calls for white or off-white, FEI showjumping for white or light fawn. The national dressage rules ask for white breeches; the Dutch version also allows buff, the French version off-white. Rules differ by federation, discipline, level and country and change regularly: check your federation's current rules.
The other colours are intended for training and everyday riding. That way you can have a white pair for competitions and a coloured pair for home in the same model.
Care
Equestro specifies hand washing. Wash the breeches inside out; no tumble dryer, no dry cleaning and no bleach.
